Search for a Private Investigator in Texas

Cat's-Eye inaugurated this site first by listing every licensed private investigator we were able to identify in Texas. Included is contact information so you can get instant access via email, office phone, cell phone, or fax. We've provided information on level of experience, services provided, and fees charged. Plus, we can direct you to their websites that might provide greater details from which your firm could benefit. And, if you're looking for a Private Process Server, try our sister site at PS-Academy.

Continuing Education Training Courses

We are the only source on the internet that offers complete training courses online that are taught by instructors who have been approved by appropriate state agencies in Texas and South Carolina (we have also applied for approval in Georgia and Tennessee, with more states in the cue). Students who pass a course will receive a Certificate of Proficiency embossed with the official CatsEye seal, and bearing the signature of the Instructor.

Instead of traveling to some distant location, you can take a course online from any computer, anywhere, anytime (read article on how more people are choosing Distance Learning). Each course meets the requirements set forth by the following state agencies that regulate private investigators for continuing education courses:

  • Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau (formerly the Texas Commission on Private Security), school #N-290

  • Oregon Board of Investigators (Dep't of Public Safety Standards)

  • Kentucky Board of Licensure for Private Investigators

  • Kansas Bureau of Investigations

  • Iowa Dep't of Public Safety: Private Investigation Licensing

  • South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED)

  • Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Division of Regulatory Boards

Each course can be taken over several days, and is less expensive than what you might pay elsewhere, yet still provides you with relevant course materials you might require.

Map of Texas Counties, interactive so all you have to do is click on any county to find information about its District and County Clerks, as well as every court in that county.

Search for other Private Investigators to improve your network, to connect you with those who can help serve a paper in another county, or who can offer assistance on how they do things. Search by individual name, business name, county of residence, or county in which they provide services.

at NO CHARGE! And that includes direct marketing to attorneys across Texas and the United States.
