Instructor: Linda Fulmer, M.Ed.

ST 112
2 CEUs
Tuition: $ 45.00

Course Synopsis: This course will help you become an effective investigator in 'missing person' cases that involve an adult who, for whatever reason, has disappeared. You will study the three different ways to find someone, how each investigative avenue has many divergent paths, and how to use each one for your client. The course will also cover:
  • resources available to you at the federal, state, and local levels of government;
  • the roles that different law enforcement agencies play in 'missing persons' cases, and how to work with them;
  • the value of the internet and online resources;
  • why the ‘old-fashioned’ way of personal interviews and phone calls may often break the case faster than a database.
  • effectiveness of the media
  • what happens when you find a person who doesn't want to be found
  • your responsibilities to your client...and to the person you've found
  • what to do when you're unsuccessful
