Course Synopsis: This course will introduce the student to fingerprints, and the three basic types of fingerprint patters and their subcategories as used in classification. The student will learn terminology specific to this science, and will learn the categories of fingerprint impressions as found at a crime scene. The course will help the student identify ways to develop latent prints at a crime scene, and how finger print evidence can be falsified for use in criminal defense matters.
