Course Synopsis: This course is suitable for investigators intent on learning how forensic science is used in crime solving, and specifically the use of phogography and videography in recording crime scenes and related subjects. Topics covered will be types of cameras to use in different circustances, lighting, interior and exterior shots, distance and close-ups, angles, when to use still shots and when to use video, etc. The course will also discuss the importance of photographing images of rooms that seem innocuous to record what may transpire at other times, documenting witnesses, automobiles, and subjects that the lay person doesn't consider. The course will also talk about photo and video-evidence, and what role the private investigator plays.
