Course Synopsis: This course is
suitable for investigators intent on learning how
the forensic sciences are used in crime solving, and
specifically what constitutes trace and micro-trace
evidence; what standards exist for its collection
and maintenance; how trace evidence is collected at
the crime scene, stored, transported and analyzed
in a crime lab; what conclusions can be drawn from
such evidence; how the police use trace evidence to
prove a crime has been committed or that a particular
suspect is guilty of the crime; and the role of the
private investigator.
(This course is presently being
prepared for online presentation, and should be ready
by February 1, 2007)
