Geoffrey Tait
has been a licensed private investigator in
Texas since about 1989. He received his BA
in Political Science / Pre Law from the University
of Texas in Arlington, and his Masters in
Dispute Resolution from Southern Methodist
University.
Since 2002, Geof
has had a contract to find missing children
and families for Tarrant County Child Protective
Services, an agency of the Texas Dep't of
Family & Protective Services. As a result
of his efforts, he was awarded the 2006
Meritorious Service Award for Investigative
Excellence by the Texas Association of
Licensed Investigators (TALI).
Geof also
teaches two instructional courses to CPS Investigators,
one of which is a course in Detecting
Deception at the Tarrant Community College.
He has been an instructor and lecturer for
the past ten years, and is active as a volunteer
mediator with Dispute Resolution Services
of North Texas, including Restorative Justice
mediation at the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice
Center.
He is approved by the
Texas Private Security Bureau as a training
instructor (I-610), and founded the online
concept of PI-CEU.com. He also founded an
online school for private process servers,
PS-Academy, and was instrumental in creating
the systems that created the Texas Process
Service Review Board. PS-Academy is presently
pending approval by the Supreme Court as an
instructional facility.
